What’s Included
- Titles Input — 9 columns including EIDR, ISAN, and two helper columns (EIDR Dupe?, Key Dupe?) that flag red when a duplicate is found.
- Dedupe Rules — the heuristics this worksheet uses + the ones that need the companion Apps Script.
How to Use
- Paste titles into Titles Input.
- The Normalized Key column strips articles, punctuation, and case, then appends year.
- EIDR Dupe? / Key Dupe? flag YES (red) when a value repeats.
- Review flagged pairs and merge manually — remakes can share titles but have different EIDRs.

Common Pitfalls
- Typos fall through pure-key matching. “Embur Lanes” ≠ “Ember Lanes” by key. Run the companion Apps Script for Levenshtein fuzzy matching.
- Remakes. Same title, different year, different EIDR = not a duplicate. Keep both.
